Staphylococcus Aureus is a bacteria that can be ingested with food.

It can live on a dry surface.

It also can infect bone marrow. It can result in amputations.

It can be immune to antibiotics.

My first wife had a staph infection, she had to be hospitalized. That is where she got the infection from, the hospital, and had to re hospitalized. She had it on the skin of her legs. I had a staph infection on my ankle. To this day, I never have figured out where I got it from.

paxildog...Outbreaks of Staphylococcus Aureus are common.

It is important to wash fresh vegetables properly, and do not trust labelling, which indicates the products have been washed. Link

paxildog #2.1...I should have mentioned washing fruits also.

I had an uncle, who died at age 49. He ate unwashed tomatoes often. It could be that that caused his death.
